I am excited to announce that I have been chosen to be 1 of 11 trainers to be selected for the first ever Rally for the Rescues Trainer Challenge! We all have very different backgrounds and disciplines. We have been randomly assigned a rescue horse to train for 90 days. Most of these horses have fear and anxiety issues. Some have some aggression. They are all very different. At the end of the 90 day period we will compete against each other in June. I urge everyone to buy tickets for this event. It is going to be an entire weekend packed full of activities, fun, trail rides, clinics, and of course the competition. I am really looking forward to this event.
My randomly assigned rescue horse is a beautiful dapple gray named Adam. Adam is a 10 year old now gelding (he was a stallion pretty much all his life) from Horse Haven Rescue in Knoxville, TN. I am picking up Adam today. I cannot wait to begin our journey together! Please make sure that you follow our journey through my blog here, and also make sure that you follow my Facebook page for more frequent updates.
We need all the help & support we can get! You can help sponsor Adam! Any amount is appreciated, and all proceeds will go to Horse Haven Rescue!
